On December 11, SPD students Thitichon Thanawong and Samara Chhetri attended the Disability Inclusive Employment Policy project meeting with Ajarn Kevin Cook. This project is a collaboration between United Nations ESCAP, Thailand’s Department of Empowerment for Persons with Disabilities, and Asia Pacific Development Center on Disability.

The goal of the meeting was to review the finalized policy and discuss implementing the policy in phase 2 of the project.

SPD students also got to meet SPD alumni Thorfan Dechachainimit, who is working as the project coordinator for the project, and learn about her work. This was a wonderful opportunity for SPD students to see a real life example of social policy creation and implementation.
