On September 17, 2024, Dr. Lucio Sarandrea, Regional Advisor on Human Rights at UNICEF, delivered a guest lecture on “The UN-CRC: Monitoring and Reporting Roles of NGOs and Civil Society.” The speaker provided an in-depth discussion on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UN-CRC), critically analyzing real-time data on human rights and child rights. As part of the SPD-444 course, “Globalization and Child Rights”, students gained valuable insights into the monitoring and reporting mechanisms employed by NGOs and civil society organizations. The course is administrated by Ajarn. Dr. Mahesh Chougule.
