On September 17, 2024, Dr. Lucio Sarandrea, Regional Advisor on Human Rights at UNICEF, delivered a guest lecture on “The UN-CRC: Monitoring and Reporting Roles of NGOs and Civil Society.” The speaker provided an in-depth discussion on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UN-CRC), critically analyzing real-time data on human rights and child rights. As part of the SPD-444 course, “Globalization and Child Rights”, students gained valuable insights into the monitoring and reporting mechanisms employed by NGOs and civil society organizations.
