



On 14 January 2026, Dr Mahesh Chougule, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Social Administration, Thammasat University (TU), led a group of undergraduate students from the Social Policy and Development (SPD) International Programme to an academic visit at the Department of Applied Social Sciences (APSS), Hong Kong.The TU delegation was warmly welcomed by Dr Raymond Tam, Associate Head of APSS and Programme Leader of the BA (Hons) in Social Policy and Social Entrepreneurship (SPSE), along with Ms Beckie Li, Assistant Programme Leader of SPSE and Student Exchange and International Affairs Coordinator. During the visit, SPD students from the Faculty of Social Administration presented their research projects and engaged in lively exchanges with APSS students. The discussions focused on shared and contrasting social policy challenges across Asian contexts, encouraging comparative perspectives, critical reflection, and peer-to-peer learning. The visit contributed significantly to students’ international academic exposure while reinforcing collaborative ties between Thammasat University and APSS. It also fostered cross-cultural understanding and new friendships, reflecting Thammasat University’s commitment to experiential learning and regional academic cooperation.
