On 28 October 2025, students from the Social Policy and Development (International Programme), Faculty of Social Administration, Thammasat University, led by Dr. Mahesh Chougule and accompanied by Ajarn Siyuan Liu, visited the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Thailand as part of their experiential learning in Global Social Welfare Policy and Administration. The visit provided students with valuable insights into international migration governance, Thailand’s migration landscape, migrant protection and support services, labour mobility issues, and humanitarian responses. Through interactive briefings and discussions with IOM officials, students deepened their understanding of global policy frameworks and real-world challenges affecting migrant populations, reinforcing their learning on social protection, human rights, and inclusive development. The faculty extends appreciation to IOM Thailand for hosting and sharing meaningful knowledge to inspire the future generation of social policy professionals.
